Live View Cropped - Nikon D800
Hi everyone,
I have an issue with live view cropping the image, but once I take an image the crop goes away? Instead of 2x3 it's more like 16x9?
I mainly use live view for still life, helping out arranging props etc, but it sort of loses its function if I'm not seeing the whole image?
This seams to only be on my Nikon D800, I've tried the same version of Capture one using a Canon MrkIV and I didn't get the crop. Has someone experienced this before and has a solution for it? Is it a Nikon issue?
Kind regards,
Christoffer

I don't have a D800 in front of me to test, but this may be intriguing: I don't know if you have found a solution to your problem by now, but if you don't there is a rotary switch on the back of your D800 where you can configure live view for either still images (SLR symbol) or for movies (movie symbol). To stay in the 3:2 format for stills, select still images. If you activate live view and rotate the switch back and forth, you can see that the cropping changes to 16:9 in the movie mode.

Hi Ben,
Thank your for taking time and look up this for me. I will try this tomorrow, it almost sounds to easy to be true. But it would amazing if it the solution was that easy, thank you!
Kind regards,
