Lens profile Nikon Z 24-70mm f/4 S

How good is the distortion correction for this lens in C1? Is there any mustache type residual left after applying the profile or is it good for critical seascape horizon or architectural images at any focal length?

Any other experience regarding the lens profile is very much appreciated too...

    That's right Paul. I wonder how good C1 is with the new Zs NEF files, in general but mainly regarding distortion because what I have read somewhere is that the "native" lens distortion without correction is somewhat heavier for this lens, and not always easy pincushion or barrel. I can see that there is a C1 profile for this lens (but only for this lens from the Nikon Z S series of lenses).

    I have that lens, and use it on a Z7. There are now two options, C1’s profile and Nikon’s. I slightly prefer Nikon’s which doesn’t correct distortion as comprehensively but loses less of thE image at the edges. Both profiles are good though, and even for architecture I think.

    If you adjust the crop for the edges to recover some of the lost pixels in the crop applied does that allow you some additional content that is equivalent to the Nikon crop? Or are the cropped pixels less satisfactory in that situation?

    I downloaded a couple of sample files for the Z7 and requested lens from dpreview.

    At a quick look The only differences I can easily see are related to crops.

    At 24mm the default C1 crop is a little more aggressive than the "Manufacturer" crop.

    At 70mm it's the other way around.

    I didn't spot any samples that looked especially useful for testing the other adjustment possibilities for architectural type subject matter. I may have missed some possibles I guess.
