Drag-n-drop import
I was watching a video where someone using a Mac and Capture One 20 dragged a folder from the finder over the Capture One icon in the dock to open an import window for the images inside the folder. For some reason that does not work for me. Selecting the individual images and dragging them over the dock icon triggers an import, but not when I drag the containing folder.
This is a minor annoyance in that I need to perform the extra steps of opening the folder and then selecting the images. I'm wondering if there is some option I'm not aware of that will make Capture One handle file folders as well as images. Does anyone know? Does dragging a folder on top of the dock icon work for you?
I'm using catalogs, if that makes any difference.

With Capture One running and a catalog opened, I can drag and drop a folder with images onto the Capture One icon in the dock. It immediately opens the import window pointing to the image folder.
I can also drag images onto the Capture One icon in the dock. In that case, the import dialog will open with only those images.
So it seems to work here. I have Capture One 20, build 13.0.2.19 on macOS 10.14.6 Mojave.0 -
Interesting. And thank you for your reply. It must be something with my machine/configuration. I am using Catalina, but I think the user on the youtube video I saw where it working as you describe was also using Catalina. Also, Capture One 12 (didn't) work the same way on my machine. 0 -
Interesting. I tried this after reading this thread, and I could get images imported that way, but I can't get it to work with whole folders.
