How to remove a Catalog
New to Capture One.
Created a catalog but want to remove/delete it and make a new one using different folder options.
Had recently reorganized my photo folder (simplified the root folder structure) and wanted the same structure to appear in my Catalog Folder listing. I think I mistakenly checked the "sub folder" box and the resulting displayed Catalog Folder window had all sub folders listed on the "root" directory.
I couldn't find a method of completely removing a Catalog in the Library Tab so I can try a second Import of the same reorganized folder structure.
Would appreciate any suggestions.
Thank you

The file you are looking for has the .cocatalogdb extension. If you delete that you delete the catalog. Then you can create a new one with the same name and go from there.
The only warning I would give you is: be careful if you imported your images to be part of the catalog - because then deleting the catalog will delete the images too. If you imported your images by reference then deleting the catalog is fine.
One thing you can do is create a new catalog and try out your new plan and just don't delete the old one until you have everything the way you want.0 -
Thank you for the excellent advise. Especially importing the new before deleting the old. 0
