Styles and editing consistently

Consistency when using styles requires consistency in images - exposure, contrast, light source, white balance...all those things have to be consistent in order to deliver a consistent look. If one or more of these things is very different (for instance the light quality on the outside vs the inside) you will have to correct for that in post production.
So during photography I would make a white balance shot if the light changes considerably and then when you're looking through the images you can easily correct them for white balance and even out the exposure and contrast.

One thing to be careful about is that some styles might contain settings for white balance, contrast etc - so if that changes the images you'll have to go over them again.
