Sugestions...
Hi,
I hope this is a right forum to suggest improvement and that I will de read by the team developping Capture One.
I have the trial version and I am happy with it, the interface is really nice.
Though, I have some suggestions:
- I think you can not create a luminance mask (mask based on dark or bright colors)... You could complete the color editor to select not only colors but also add a range of intensity value. By default you would select all intensity values of the range colors but you could restrict to an intensity range if you want.
- Add the possibility to change the projection (for instance from rectilinear -> cylndrical). It can improve the rendering of a picture, especially with wide angle lenses because objects near the border have distorsion (they look stretched). It would be a welcomed feature, I am convinced this would be highly appreciated (dxo does it but in a separate software I think).
- possibility to stack several pictures in different layers to create HDR or to reduce noise, with an alignement process of the layers. . Lightoom allows HDR, you can do the same but better... Layers would allow to remove ghosts
- add python Scripting.
- panorama. Like lightroom.
I hope you will pay attention to my suggestions, these are simply suggestions but I think there is still a good margin for improvement and stay ahead of adobe.
Regards,
Christophe

Christophe - this is a user-to-user forum. We are happy to discuss your ideas, but it is not primarily a forum for communicating suggestions to Phase One. Phase One staff sometimes read the discussions and sometimes comment. But if you want to make suggestions about development of the software, the best thing to do is to contact support at and make a request for new features you would like to see. They are happy to hear from users of the trial as well as from established users.
I hope you enjoy using the software!
