Permanent fix for Yosemite / Photos App launch annoyance?
Hi all,
I made the mistake of upgrading one of my shoot computers to Yosemite, and now every time I insert a (new) CF card or camera, Photos automatically launches, which is complete and utter annoyance since I always work with new gear and have to keep "unticking" the option to not open again.
Has anybody found a permanent way of either getting rid of Photos completely or stop it from ever, EVER launching again?
Thanks

Hi,
Are you familiar with the Image Capture program of OS X, which handles the auto start?0 -
Have a look at this blog post: https://captureintegration.com/quick-ti ... m-opening/
That should get you most of the way.0 -
I tried to following in OSX 10.10.5
Open or run the OSX application "image capture" ..Connect your camera or like in my case, insert your SC card.. Open the bottom left sign of the "image capture" screen. Click open and set to "Capture One" in the scroll tab "connecting this camera opens...."
Hope it works...0 -
I would go further than that and set Image Capture to open no app automatically when you connect that camera, but that is your choice.
