Unfortunately not. If you connect a camera with a cable, C1 thinks it's for tethered shooting. You may need to get an external card reader if the built in one isn't working.

Thank you for that response as I have been wondering the same thing. C1 does not recognize any of my cameras for downloading while it recognizes all of them for tethered shooting.

This does make me wonder what would happen with C1 7 Express since it did not have the tethered shooting functionality. I wonder if it would download from the camera. I no longer have that version on my system and Express apparently is no longer sold so it is empty speculation, but I do wonder.

Thanks Ian, that's what I suspected. Fortunately the card reader is working (for now at any rate 😎 )

Do you mean the internal reader?

If you want to go the USB route, there are 2 options:
    1. buy an external usb card reader, they're cheap
    2. attach your camera with the usb cable to your laptop and use the image capture program (apps - other) to download the pictures, afterwards import them into CO.
