problem with the browser thumbnails: shadows turquoise
Hello,
I have a problem with the browser thumbnails. All dark shadows and highlights are suddenly brightly colored in turquoise, white etc. I have not changed anything as far as I know. I did not activate the highliht warning ..
The large picture in the viewer is ok.
Many thanks for your help!
Michael

Type of picture? For example Fujifilm RAF file?
Version of CO20 (20.0.2 for example?)0 -
yes: Fujifilm RAF file
The only thing, I had changed: I did chose a paper profile instead of my "Adobe (1998)" in the output setting. The phenomen occured, when I activated "Adobe (1998)" again ...
And I "visited" the printing dialog, but I think I did not change anything ..0 -

Please check you run Capture One 20 (build 13.0.2.13. If I recall correctly, this was an issue with the initial CO20 release but fixed later. Please correct me if I am wrong.0 -

I had installed version 20 from the beginning, the error never occured before...

Have you tried re-starting C1?
If yes, have you tried rebooting the system?
If the browser thumbnails were originally OK unless for some reason they have been completely regenerated they should still be OK.
They are displayed in real time with what are in effect overlays that modify their appearance according to currently selected parameters - like whatever settings are being used by an output recipe for example or crop information.
It is possible that somewhere along the line the overlay values in memory have been compromised. Re-starting should attempt to clean things up. Re-booting should go a stage further. There may be other options - like applying a different recipe once again - but the cleaner option might be to allow the application and the system to try to clean up first.
Unless, of course, some other edit setting have been changed or you have inadvertently activated an exposure warning feature or something similar - but turquoise would not, iirc, be a default colour selection for any such tools I can think of.

I had rebooted the system already with no effect.
Another recipe had no effect
But: I activated in the recipe a different *icc Profile instead of "Adobe (1998)" and the thumbnails are ok. Back to Adobe and they are crazy again.
Now I had the idea, to reinstall the Adobe icc profile. I downloaded it and deleated the old one and replaced it with the new one. Result: In C1 I do have 2 (!?) Adobe Profiles in the list. If activated, both do show the crazy thumbnails.
Now I have the additional issue, to have two Adobe (1988) icc profiles in my list ...

Many of use have 3 such profiles. That is because different programs install the profile and Capture One enumerates them all. Just neglect it if you can.
Back to the issue you have. I suggest you report this to Capture One support with the details you disclosed here (profile in output recipe).0 -
Ok, I will neglect the two Adobe Profiles, no problem.
I would have wanted to ask the Capture One support. But I did not find any contact, where I could have reported my problem. I was looking here: https://support.captureone.com/hc/en-us the only thing I found, was this forum!
Could you please tell me, where I can contact the support?
Thanks a lot,

Are you using the generic camera ICC profile or did you create your own?
Have you shot these images at a very high ISO setting?0
