Workflow with Android devices?
Hi guys,
we all take pictures during our vacation. But since years, I haven't carried any Notebook with me, I save a lot of bulk and weight with my Android tablet. I use it to do a quick organization of my pictures, moving the files around in folders on a external SSD. I usually create one folder for each day, event or location and move the good ones to a sub-folder called "good" and leave the rest in a sub-folder called "rest". Later back at home, I import from this SSD into C1.
It works for me, but I'm not 100% happy. I cannot do any star rating except if I mimic this with further sub-folders. I cannot add any further metadata, like keywords, location, etc until I reach home.
I'm wondering how this can be optimized. Is there any Android app that can create such metadata that can then be imported by C1? Is there any documentation on how such metadata can be provided to C1? How is your workflow, if you carry an Android device instead of a PC with you?
Thanks and best regards

Sounds like a good way to work - if you can solve that problem. I did a quick search for apps and found several that don't do what you want and one no longer being developed but I did find a review article that included a link to one more that might actually do the job:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... tPortfolio
This one specifically mentions editing metadata and compatibility with LR and Capture One. I have not used it myself so I cannot comment on how well it works or if it will fit what you want. Also seems like it will cost you some $ of really be sure.
Let us know what you find.
PS. What are you using to manage the files of the external drive?0 -
Oh thanks! I didn't notice this when I searched the app store for "capture one", the top search results are all not really relevant. I'll give it a try.
For organizing my pictures I use a file manager, ES File Explorer until it began suicide and now FX File Explorer.0 -
Hi, do you saw Photo Mate R3? But I don´t know if it is able to write Metas; works on phone and tablet. Reg. lars 0
