Delete from an album. How to...?

Control-Delete removes the image from the Album (normal album) on my system.

    CTRL-Z will re-instate.

The removal is a little odd because in V12 the menu that lists delete options suggests that the key short cut is Alt-Shift-Delete.

There is no reference to CTRL-DEL alone.

A Google Search for CTRL-DEL comes up with some specific and short lists of applications that appear to use the combination although usage is not consistent.

So far as I can tell the image is removed from the Album (album created by an import process) but not form its location in the folder.

At the moment it is looking a bit like an undocumented feature.

I ran a "verify session". Result : Checking image variant relationships FAILED! A repair gave: Database repair OK.

I could now delete one image from the album, while another remains as an orphaned reference. I'm working on tiffs created by COP as part of an Edit with... operation.

Ctrl+Del is part of the default set of shortcuts, for Image/Delete (Variant). I take the error message "Failed to delete image" to mean that COP understood these keypresses.

It would be nice to get rid of the orphaned reference. Otherwise I'm OK with where I am with this.

    Thanks for joining in.
