Create variant with the same amount of stars as original
Capture One Pro 10.
I usually filter my images by stars.
When I create a variant, the created variant has always zero stars so it is not displayed. I have to remove filter, set stars and then filter by stars again.
Is there a way to create variants with the same stars/color labels as original?

Mmmm maybe it is done by doing "clone variant" instead of "new variant"? 0 -
If you create a "new" variant (from right click menu, or just hit F2) what you get is a completely new variant as if you had loaded the file from the camera again, so no adjustments, ratings, etc, etc. If you create a "cloned" variant (F3) what you get is a complete clone of the current variant, so the same adjustments, crop, ratings etc. So it sounds like you want to use clone not new. Then from the cloned variant you change just the things you want to change, so you might have two different crops of an image with all the other adjustments the same, or one in colour and one in black-and-white, for example.
If you want to preserve the star rating but in every other respect go back to square one with the image, then first clone the variant and then on the toolbar click the button to reset all the adjustments. (It's the one like the undo button, but with the head of the arrow hitting an upright line.) The star rating is not reset, but everything else is.
