16inch MBP-Capture one 20.0.1-Tethered shooting broken
I tethered in capture one 20.0.1, on my new 16 inch macbook pro(Mac OS 10.15.2), the camera connected, but not transfer images. Even I asked Apple to replace a new MBP, it still doesn't work. I use the TetherPro USB 3.0 to USB 3.0 Micro-B cable (4.6m) with canon 5D IV. Actually i use this kit on my old MBP(2016 TYPE C), it still works fine.
BUT!!! when i use the canon original usb cable, everything is ok, This is really weird. However the canon original cable is too shot, i can't use it to work.

4.6m for USB3 connection is out of spec. IIRC, 2 meters is maximum (and 3 meter for USB2). Yes, it could work, has worked but it is not guaranteed to work. Way too long. That is the reason your short Canon cable works.
The new MBP is probably just providing to little power, where your older MBP just supplied enough.
You need a powered repeater for these lengths.0
