Quick way to add to session selects folder? (workflow)
Hi. I just found Capture One. It seems really nice 😊
I like the session folder structure and want to use it to quickly go through my photos and mark those I like. I don't need the 1-5 stars; I just want to have it binary: either I will use the image or I won't.
It seems like the Selects Folder is a good place for this. What I want to do is going through the photos quickly, using the arrow keys and a shortcut key to move the good photos to the folder. This works fine. However, every time I move a photo (using a custom shortcut key), the viewer loses focus and I have to move all the way back with the arrow keys. This is quite annoying. Isn't it possible to either keep focus on the selected image, or move to the next one?

Sounds like a good bug report / feature request for phase one's support page.
A possible workaround for you would be to use the star ratings. Use the 1 key to put a star on all your keepers. This you can do keeping focus on the film strip and move quickly through your collection. Once you have looked at them all filter for one star images. Select all and move them to the selects folder as a group. Then you can even switch to the selects folder and remove the stars.0 -
Yeah, I ended up doing something like that. I also noticed that pressing the delete key didn't lose focus, just as expected, so it should be possible to have the same functionality with the Selects Folder. 0
