A second question is, how can I view a list of all the adjustments made to an image?

There is the Browser and there is the Viewer.

I believe you actually want "grid browse" (rather than "film strip browse"). When you click on a thumbnail in the Browser, regardless of the Browser showing grid or film strip, the image is presented to you in the Viewer, while you can continue to browse in the film strip if the Viewer hides the Browser grid.

If you turn off the Viewer, you should be able to use the Browser grid. The View menu provides hide/show for both tools and shortcut keys for same.

I have two monitors, and I like having the Browser in grid mode (and more) on the left and the Viewer on the right (you need to enable multi view mode via the View menu if I remember correctly).

I do not think there is a edit history list like in LR. Truth is I never missed that list as I prefer to play with C1's cloned variants instead.

    Adding to Odd's reply.

You may want to consider saving your preferred Browser only version of the Workspace (after Hiding the Viewer) as a Workspace of your own so that you can quickly open it again when you need it, complete with you favoured tools.

As a way of seeing which tools and tool options have been modified for a variant one option is to "Copy to Clipboard".

If you then view the Adjustments Clipboard you should be able to see all of the tools and settings options which have adjustments applied so you know where to look.

Potentially, if you don't mind "Getting your hands dirty and looking under the hood", you could review the C1 Adjustment Settings file (as a form of text file) subject to gaining an understanding about what the information it contains is telling you.
