C20 and UI font size change?
Any hope to be able to change/scale up the UI font size in C1-20? for Mac users with 4k/5k with large displays and resolution above 3840 x 2160 would be helpful? LR offers that for a while. It seems easier for Windows users to globally adjust the font size for the apps but for OSX users, that needs to happen locally within the application.
Thanks

Have you tried to use the scaling of macOS? Go to the System Preferences, Display tab, Resolution > Scaled. Select an option to the left. -2 -
Thanks Paul for your reply. Display scaling will impact the resolution of the screen which means less real estate for the app. I was hoping that the app is responsive enough to detect the resolution and adjust based on that.
My main display is 32" 4k at 3840 x 2160 which is the native res for this monitor and whole purpose of getting larger monitor is to gain more space. Specially when you are working on hi-res files produced by IQ3-100!1 -
Users with Full-HD displays have the opposite problem.
C1 V12 introduced a larger font size in apparent bid to please those with high-DPI displays.
This, unnecessarily, made it harder to fit tools on to the screen when using ~96 DPI displays.
C1 is very customisable so why is the font size not one of the parameters one can choose?
When I see some C1 ambassadors demonstrate C1 on YouTube, for instance, the tool labels are so much smaller than they are on my standard monitors. I prefer to use two full-HD monitors instead of one high-DPI monitor, so why should I be forced to use a font size that is too large?3 -
Hi, i just testing 4k monitors from Eizo and BenQ. I’m on Mac too and know there is only this scaling for the full dispay, not the fonts / menu extra. Wasn’t Apple once upon a time the best for desktop publishing…
I really wonder how all these super “pro” photographers on youtube (testing and showing 4k displays) can really work on a 4k Monitor only.
If i buy a 27" or 32" display i don’t really want to use use an extra diplay for my menu.
As “NNN634573590026730609“ said it would be nice if the user interface / menu / font size could be changed manually in C1.

The same as Class A here, on my FHD 27" monitor, fonts are now too big to fit all tools on my custom pane.
Can't you make a customisable font size on the GUI?4 -
Indeed, UI texts take too much space in C1 20 (13.1.1), compared to C1 10 and below.
That would be great to be able to change the font size.

As discussed above, the text size was enlarged in recent times (V12 iirc but maybe V20 when further changes were introduced) because people complained that the previous default size was too small, especially with small dimension high definition screens.
In theory I am a supporter of allowing people to choose their own font size and scaling but not if it starts to make a "windowised" basis for a screen handling system with auto-sizing attributes too complicated in some way..
I recently bought a mid-range premium brand Android tablet and have been surprised to find that the screen scaling attempts related to some mainstream apps and the content they offer can be presented very erratically. Font and scaling issues seem to be the problem. Oddly the screen presentation on the tablet is worse than on my android phone (with an older version of android) and my Windows 7 based PCs.
Any decision that avoids over complicating something - whatever it is - seems wise to me.

As a new user to capture one 13.1.3 I started using it on a 15" 4K laptop display with recommended Windows10 scaling to 250%. This results in a good compromise on text size and screen layout. But of course 15" are not really recommended for 4K.
So finally I switched to an 27" FHD photographic monitor from BENQ and now I am very unsatisfied with the huge size of text and controls on this screen resolution. Too much of the screen is wasted and I tend to say it is unusable.
I agree, I should have done this test before purchasing, but I liked the workflow from capture one compared to my previous lightroom licence.
Any improvement regarding this topic of screen resolution adjustments would be highly appreciated.

I have the same problem as well. I had more or less the same issue with Lightroom, therefore I wanted to change editing software. C1 looks so great for my needs, but unfortnunetaly, too big font is too annoying and waste og display. I hope C1 reads this and can fix it.
