Import REALLY slow
I'm considering moving from Apple Aperture to Capture One...
I downloaded COExpress6 sometime ago and with the recent news decided to actually try it out. Willing to really make this work....!
The user interface is OK, will take some time to get used to... Some functions are not very intuitive, but I can find the workflow in the forum or webinars, I guess...
Big observation was that importing was VERY slow. It took almost 15 minutes to import 48 images in DNG from a 24MP RAW camera (Apple aperture would have typically taken only about a minute on my Mac).
Is this typical?
Would it speed up if I upgrade to the most current version?
Thanks!

Performance is based primarily on Hardware and workflow.
If you can provide some details I am sure someone can give you an answer.0 -
Camera: Pentax K3, 32GB SD memory card with ~100 images on it.
Apple MAC computer with 16GB RAM, importing via SD card reader.
Loading files to CaptureOne folder created on internal HD.
Will check if this would be faster if I tether the camera to through USB...0 -

The spec of the mac might be relevant but a more immediate check for C1 import speed would be to copy the files off the card onto your internal HD and import from there - or have you already tried that with much the same results?
