Unexplained count in Library tab

Hi,

Library>User Collections>"catalog name">"catalog name" images is showing an image count that I can't explain.

What images are added to this built-in collection created during the import of a Lightroom catalog ? There are too much images there to sort this out manually. The image count doesn't match the actual number of images in the catalog or the number of images being part of a collection.
