The 5D and the 5D mark III have different image resolutions. I understand the 5D is 12.8 megapixels while the 5D Mark III is 22.3 megapixels. Therefore the layers are not the same size and can't copy.

Try saving the settings as a preset or style.

The apply the style from one camera's images to the other using a fill mask to see if the adjustments do indeed work to the same effect for both cameras.

If you are happy with the results you will have made the adjustments available and simply need to mask the images individually to suit the size of the image. Presumably in many cases the mask might need to be altered anyway since the composition may not be exactly identical? So re-masking is probably a job to be done even if copied in most cases.

Ian - thank you for that explanation. Bummer!

Grant - the reason why a preset isn't working is because of the way I mask my layers. I have a skin layer, a sky layer, a dodge and burn....etc. I invert all the masks and then brush them individually on each image (because as you pointed out - they won't transfer from image to image correctly). The presets combine my layers so my individual masks won't work (unless there is a way to retain your layers in the preset and I have not figured that out yet).

Does anyone know if you CAN have layers in the presets? So far, they when I apply a preset all my layers get combined. (And thank you Grant for your input).
