Filtering for landscape/portrait orientation
I can't see a way to identify only photos in a particular orientation. There's a sort of fudge if you are using a single camera to select height = 6016 (say), but in Aperture I could do it. Presumably it is in the metadata or Capture One couldn't display photos in the correct orientation.

David,
I think you should probably create a Support Request and give it a title that starts with "Enhancement Request" then suggest the idea.
That said ... is the original orientation the only criterion? What about image variants that have been cropped to the opposite apparent orientation compared to how they were when captured?
In fact is a variant a valid thing to search for? Or should it be based on output images?
I'm not trying to split hairs here - just trying to pre-empt the sort of things that might become issues if such functionality is implemented. Also thinking about the apparent issues raised by those creating shots with the camera pointing directly down and the discussions there have been about how some cameras report orientation. Or rather fail to report it appropriately.
One wonders if there might be a whole case full of cans of worms ready to be opened with this one.
Best prepare a thorough specification!
