How to integrate Capture One in my tethered shooting
summary: is it possible to shoot tethered with Canon EOS utility and still be able to use Capture One's "next capture adjustment" feature?
I mainly photograph hotels and use the Canon EOS utility for tethered shooting plus bridge and Photoshop for viewing and adjusting pictures on the spot. Capture One Pro was very appealing when I first heard about it. I was hoping to use it to incorporate tethered shooting, viewing, and adjust in one program. Alas, that is not possible because the EOS utility provides better camera control such as enabling exposure bracketing, viewing in camera level, and providing live grid lines.
Nonetheless, I am still interested in using Capture One for viewing and editing files on the spot and especially so for its feature "next capture adjustment". Is it possible to shoot tethered with the Canon EOS utility and still have this feature work? It would be really convenient if for example I can apply perspective correction to each file instantly after it is downloaded from the camera instead of opening it in Photoshop to apply the changes manually.
Thanks

No, you can't do next capture adjustments / custom file names etc using hot folder option, I never recommend to do that really.
Do check the camera settings option on capture 9, as I find it has more than enough controls personally. Nikon D810 has pretty much every setting on C1 as it does in camera, Canon perhaps is a bit different.
You can adjust perspective on every shot automatically if you use capture for tethered shooting.0 -
Currently it is not possible to enable/change exposure bracketing or view the orientation. The Canon SDK used by Capture One simply does not provide the information, so Capture have nothing to show.
However, grids and guide are available in both Live-view and in the main Viewer of CO.0 -
You can use feature from C1 called Hot Folder

I occasionaly use this feature when I transfer my files using wireless SD card.0 -

The Hot Folder does not enable the Next Capture Adjustments.0 -

With the new Canon tether engine introduced in version 9.1, can this feature be enabled?
