greenish color cast from cheap theatre spotlights

    Are you attempting to use only a preset colour cast adjustment?

    Better to use the dropper and pick something in the image that might be considered to be a mid grey colour and see what you get with that.

    If no grey (in "real" light) is available go for a white area instead.

    If all else fails you can try something that is a known black.

    Then adjust from there if required.

    Worst case is you have mixed light sources to deal with - in which case you need to find a reasonable fix for the base image and then layer adjustments based fixes for the other areas.

    If the cast looks almost green, then you could see whether it is improved by pulling the tint slider towards the + (right) side as well as adjusting to a colour temperature for artificial light.

    Also you could pull the spot in the Master control in the Colour Balance tool out towards the edge of the circle in the opposite direction from the green range.
