suggestions for Adjustment Layers and masks
Hi there,
first of all I'm relatively new to C1 and I'm starting to like it a lot 😊, I love it!
I come from film and video production world so I can see a lot of color grading tools that works similar which is great, and because I'm a Photoshop user too, and I hate going to Photoshop for whatever reason, I really like the adjustments layers because they can save as a lot of time. I can see a lot of improvements that can be done to them.
Adjustment Layers:
As already I can see that a lot of people are asking for more than 16 Adjustment layers 😊, I will love to see that possible, but I'm afraid that that possible will make problems with already great speed performance to the C1 software.
But what I really need is an option to copy just selected adjustment layer/s to other photo/variant (with already heaving or not other adjustment layers on it). Not copy all the layers thing and erase previous layers to the pasted variant/photo 😊
Masks on the adjustment layers:
I know that I can copy layer mask to other layer into the same variant or copy all layers to other variant/photo, but I really need an option to copy selected mask to different photo or variant on selected layer, or to create new layer (whatever is possible, to transfer the mask somehow).
Or may be to be able to export the mask to some standard file format (jpg, tiff, png...) and than import it again to other selected adjustment layer mask to the other variant or photo on selected adjustment layer?
This will make an option to import already precisely created/edited mask outside of C1 (for example masks created/edited in Photoshop).
I know that this may sound as too much to be asked but just an idea for advance tool for transformation to the Mask. Right now there is option for position/move the mask, but what about: rotation; scale; perspective transformations too?
One other thing I have noticed, that if you position your painted mask outside the photo area for a little more, your mask will be erased in that area.
I don't know if this is so important to anyone, but I have noticed it, and may be it is just for performance purposes.
I'm waiting for answers and other thoughts too!
Thumbs up for Phase One and keep with the good work!
