Understanding Profiles and Printing

Hi All,

can some one pls help clarify a couple of points. I am using the Sony A7Riii. In the base characteristics the ICC Profile I have is the Sony A7RM3.
If i choose to print on a Canon Pro-10 printer, should I change the above ICC Profile to the Printers ICC Profile ?
What takes precedence ?

I am coming from LR and while I love C1, i don find the Printing section of C1 to be very confusing.

    Hi,
    The profile in Base Characteristics defines your camera, not your printer. It is an input profile and your printer is output. Set the printer profile in the Print dialog, assuming you let Capture One do the color management.
