Cheat sheet for basic interface icons here
I made this sheet to help me understand the COP icons and what they mean and also; I came over from Aperture where Folders are called Folders not Groups as in COP, but both have an icon of a folder. Phase One calls Groups a “freeform organizing item†which the rest of the world calls a folder.

Incredibly, being a designer and photographer, I am a visual person and think visually. Any dissonance in that area is disturbing… This software is, after all, first and foremost an image collection and RAW image processor! Not a database for accountants.
Apple has a few pages like this in their Aperture manual (but cooler looking with no dorky arrows and more in depth - I made mine in 10 minutes). Phase One, sort of has one (it is not a specific and simple explanation on icons like Apple has), but the screen shots are small, making them unclear.
Also, look at this page too: http://help.phaseone.com/en/CO8/Organiz ... aspx#item5

Haha this is awesome. You have no idea how many green assistants look at COP and just wonder what is going on in this software. Thanks for sharing this. 0 -
Thanks, you have no idea how many times I have to relearn that crap.
Some things I just cannot wrap my brain around no matter how many times I do it.0
