"Unable to open catalogue - currently in use"

    When you open a catalog, Capture One creates a file called writelock. If for some reason Capture One didn't close down cleanly, that may not have been removed again once the catalog had been closed. You can right-click the catalog file, choose "Show package contents", locate the writelock file and delete it. All should now be well.

    Edited to add: the point of the writelock file is to prevent the corruption and chaos that could result from two users opening the catalog at the same time.
