Deleting Multiple Variants
Hello I'm new to capture one,
I recently move all my archive on capture one from lightroom but it seems there are multiple shots that was saved with additional variants, is there a easy way to delete it all?

If there is more than one variant of an image, you can select images by their variant number, so you could select all the third variants etc, and you could use this feature to delete extra variants. There's explanation of this feature here. .
But... Variants don't really use up much storage space. Capture One has only one copy of the actual raw file, which is the thing that uses a lot of space. The information to generate the variants are just stored in small sidecar files (so information about two different Contrast settings, for example). Unless you have a compelling reason to get rid of them, why not keep them?

Does the Lightroom to C1 catalogue import create the variants that Ian3 mentions?
I don't know but I would be surprised.
However if an LR catalog has a RAW file and some variations of the RAW based on Sidecar files or, for example, output files post processing then yes I would imagine they might all appear as separate images in the catalogue.
When you write "delete it all" John Phil, what are you thinking of?
Deleting the whole thing and re-converting as the simplest option - having selected just the files and version you want to bring over?
Or finding a way to select the already converted images that you do not want in the new catalogue? If this then do you have an easy way to identify them that could be used for mass selection?

No, the import LR catalogue skips LR variants. So, after the import the C1 catalogue should only have one image per raw, JPG and TIFF file in the LR catalogue. 0
