merging two catalogues (c1 v12)

hi
over time I have created 2 catalogues that now I would like to merge, is it possible ? if in the import pop up window I select import catalogue, this will merge the selected catalogue in the the one \i'm currently using ? (do i need to cancel the imported catalogue ?

  You can just import one catalog into the other. There is basically not much to it.
  
  But I fully understand your fear and you are right. This is what you can do.
  Say you have two catalogs, A and B. You like to import B into A. Make a backup of both.
  
  Make a copy of catalog A, named A2. Now copy B into A2 (B is not affected by the import). Check the result in A2. If you are fine, import B into A, and delete A2.

  hi,
  it worked, it imported the catalogue but i'm unable to select any image from the browser in the viewer. need to reinstall everything ?

  So you do see the images in the browser? What do you mean when you say you can't select them? Do the images in the browser have a ? against them (meaning that C1 thinks they are offline)?

  hi ian,
  i see all the images in the in the broswer (the tumblr) but if i select one of them the viewer doesn't show anything,
  there no ? near the photos in the broswer
  but there is a triangle with a ! inside just above the viewer: if i click it a pop up says that same setting could affect the viewer and that the viewer is trying to test the formula, it continues saying that i can deactivate it in the view menu (but i don't find anything n there)
  
  i tried to reinstall everything: c1 12 nd the old catalogues, backed up before the import, but nothing changed-

  another thing the viewer is able to show .mow file, but not .raf. nef. jpg .dng
  it an help ?

  the test of the formula was selected ( someone will explain later its utility ..) the problem seems solved

  After the merge, do a catalog verify. Always.
