Watermark problems

Hello everybody,

I'm new to Capture One and still feel very insecure about working with it. I'm using it on my Mac.

My biggest problem right now is that I continue to have problems when trying to export the watermark that I attach to my images in Capture One. The watermark never show in the exporteted images.

Here's what I'm doing:

- I activate the cogwheel menu
- I attach my watermark in the watermark section
- I process the all settings from the cogwheel menu in the settings summary at the bottom of the cogwheel menu
- I export the image to the requested folder by selecting file -export image - versions (not original!) from the drop down menu on top of the page.

Result: The image is exported to the requested folder, but no watermark in it. 🤓 😕

(I hope that the description of my workflow is not too hazy, since I'm using the german version of Capture One and therefore am not familiar with the english commands)

Can anybody help me out?

  Try running the Process from the Process tab rather than export from File . See if that makes a difference.

  I have also had trouble with this and I think I had to do what Grant said to make it happen.

  Note that the Export File function does not have an option to control whether a watermark is included in the output.
  
  My understanding is that Export, although extremely similar to the Process function, has always been primarily thought of as a file output process intended to allow files, either original and unedited or with edits applied, to be made available to other people for further editing work. In which case a watermark would likely be undesirable.
  
  Although very similar functionally I would guess that at some point during development 2 quite separate functions have been brought together to provide almost common functionality. Note that the Watermark feature is flagged in the on-line Help as being a Pro feature so presumably the historic "Express" versions and now the Express for Sony version does not offer the facility.

  my 5 cents here, I do agree with 100% what Grant said, but still do not understand why export is not using receipts as an option. But it looks like PO, treats this features as separate, to have ability to do one time export of variants without using recipes.
