Keyboard shortcut to temporarily reset adjustments?
I have tried to set a keyboard shortcut to temporarily reset all adjustments, but cannot find a way. On a trackpad it's rather tedious to find the reset button and then alt-click (i.e. 3 finger coordination...) when you just want to quickly assess the combined effect of all adjustments. F2 for new variant works, but then you have to delete the variant afterwards. In Aperture I could just press m, and then m again to see the adjustments. Is there a way?

With a Tangent device it is mappable (Before/After Grading) but there is no way I know currently without that hook.
Either way, it is not done well and there is stepping/delays involved between before/after. Not exactly an on/off.
It sadly is quickest currently to do as you're doing. New/Clone Variant and compare accordingly.
You could speed things up slightly with shortcut macro's, etc. Maybe even having an external app change the mappings of a key to toggle F2 / Del. BetterTouchTool for example. Press F11/Your Key once and it activates F2. Press it again and it activates Del.
Similar could be done with Reset Adjustments and then Undo. But that could put you in a position where you end up resetting adjustments and can't bring them back (Undo isn't great in C1). Variant cloning would be a safer bet.
But definitely throw this topic at Support as some kinda feature request. It should be much more fleshed out. Even to the degree of A/B splitting/etc.1 -
Thanks, very useful. Will contact support. 0 -
If you have Keyboard Maestro (Mac only) you can set up a macro to mimic the option-click on the reset button (provided this button is always on the same place on screen).

*censoredword* is MOUSE followed by X ! 😄0 -
It sounds like a feature request for this would help. More than one other app uses \ to toggle before and after.
