Two independent Gradient masks ?

You can't do two gradient masks on the same layer. But there are a couple of things you could do instead.

    (a) You can apply gradient masks to two layers and use the same adjustments on each.

    (b) You can do what we had to do in place of gradient masks before Capture One had them, and use the edge of a large soft brush to get your gradient effect. (So for a sky, for example, you can draw sideways with a large soft edged brush parallel to the horizon.) And you can do that more than once on the same layer.

Hmm, so it seems to be then much less advanced and comfortable than in Lightroom ? There you make one effect (mask for example) done and you can start any other effect (another gradient effect) - as many as you wish ... That is of course much better than these kind of complicated workarounds ?

In Lightroom you have to press the "New" button to make a second gradient mask, in Capture One you have to press the "+" (new layer) button to make a second gradient mask. I'd hardly call that a complicated workaround, functionally it is no different between programs, Lightroom just doesn't call it layers.

There are certainly tasks in which each programs excels over the other, but I would say working with multiple gradient masks is pretty simple in both programs. You should try it.
