Color washed on edit but fine in preview thumbnail
I have a new camera, and am new to Capture One Pro 20, and I'm having problems with high-ISO images. The images look fine in previews but are washed out and have a color cast when I select the image to edit. FWIW, I don't have this issue with Adobe Lightroom -- preview and image to edit are identical.
This only occurs when I begin to edit high-iso images (>6400 ISO) -- in the editor the image momentarily (as it gets focus) looks fine (and matches the preview image) but then is adjusted and becomes washed out and has a yellow (?) cast. So something is being applied to the image but I can't figure out what. They are DNG files and Base Characteristics ICC Profile is "DNG Neutral" -- if I apply the camera profile (Leica M10 Generic) this has no effect.
If I do a similar test with my Fuji (XT-3) I don't have this issue -- only with the Leica.
I'm on an 5k iMac with Catalina (10.15.2). Capture One Pro 20 (13.0.1.19).
What am I missing? Thanks...

Hi,
If you have a Leica M10-P, as it is not yet supported by Capture One, there is a huge bug with the noise reduction tool. More specifically, for high sensitivity (ISO) images, pushing the cursor of color noise reduction leads to a strong desaturation of some colours. In other words, the noise reduction cursors are not at all progressive, and should be managed very carefully. Using the M10 input profile doesn't help, using the DNG Neutral profile neither. The best way is thus to start with the noise reduction cursors to zero (mostly the color cursor) and push the cursors very, very slowly to the right. The default value (50) is by far too much for this yet unsupported camera.
Together with the (yet supported) bad input profile of Leica Q2, this is the other issue with Leica camera sensors.
Leica owners will have to wait for the M10-P to be fully supported, and, for the Q2, for a correct input profile.

Thanks Robert! Figured it must be something like that but didn't push all the way to zero. When I do as you suggest I see what I expect now. Let's hope they get a profile out soon.0 -
Do not forget to request for Leica M10-P support. More requests increase the counter and that helps. 0
