Browser Showing extra thumbnails from another session

There seems to be a weird bug or feature in 20.x, I create a new session, then I import a bunch of photos from an SD Card, then later I import a single file (from a directory that has no sub-directories) then from this point on it shows too many thumbnails in "Display All", the extra thumbnails are all the files from the previously opened or created session. So I see thumbnails for 2 sessions (when display all is selected). I can restart C1 and the problem does not go away. If I click on a file for the wrong session and select "show in Finder" it shows me the file (path) from the other session. If I click on a file belonging to the current session and select "show in finder" it shows the right file in the current session folder. So all files are in the right place (file path).

Is this a know bug or feature? am I doing something wrong?

I used Capture one 12 for over a year and never had this issue. Never had the issue in Capture one 20 Betas either.

Will contact Phase One if no one here can help me.

    This seems to be a reoccurring issue. I never experienced it myself, but have seen this reported here on the forum every now and then. I can not recall a solution, other than contact Capture One support (not Phase One in your case).

    Question: when you import images to a session, do you import them into the Capture folder of the session or the parent folder of the session, a.k.a. the session folder. In the case of the latter, you could start using the Capture folder instead. I can not reason this properly, just a hunch or feeling.

    You could do some trial and error. Make two other sessions with similar names as the last two, just add a suffix to the name. Next, copy the image files with the Capture One subfolders to the respective new sessions and open them successively. Just curious whether the problem goes to the new sessions as well.

    When this is the case, or any way or anyhow, close Capture One and delete the preference file from the user's Library folder > Preferences > com.phaseone.captureone13.plist. A corrupt preference file could also create nasty behavior for the program.
