C1 20 PRO KEYWORDS BEACHBALL

hi guys,


i thought someone smarten than me could point me to a solution:

i upgraded to c1 20 and since then whenever i add a keywordto an image all i see is this damn beachball. i have to force quit...



already filed a request- no response since last friday...

is there probably a cache file or whatever i should delete?

    No idea. By the way, how do you add a keyword? With the Keywords tool (obvious choice) or with the Filters tool (drag and drop an image onto a keyword). Is there any difference between methods?

    yes i use the keyword library tool. i created lots of smart albums to organize my stuff.

    these keywords are important in my workflow...

    i had another idea what may cause the trouble and checked the preference/security&privacy settings - all read write rights are ok.

    than i split up my main library (50k plus images) into just a version with 5k images. thought it could be just too much for poor capture one dam skills... same result. as soon as i try to add a keyword- beachball force quiet... yawn...

    is it normal the support is not responding after 5 days or so? i mean whats pro on this kind of support?

    whats pro on the way you are forced to organize your library? not being able to create a folder and add one single version of an image is just a joke. it always adds all variants....

    ok i stop here.... the pure editing is really good though.

    so- it looks like this only happens in my own workspace ( used the default workspace and rearranged some tools and added navigator to some layouts. so nothing special ). whenever i switch back to the default workspace i can add keywords with no problem. kind of weird.

    support team answered me today saying they are really busy. nothing more. lol.

    well - but the raw editor is really good !

    Is the workspace something you created with V20 or an earlier version?

    It does seem strange. For what it is worth I can use my old workspaces without problems so far.

    However that may not mean much in such a strange situation and also I use Windows not Mac to any technical issues might very well be for quite different reasons.

    Maybe try recreating the Workspace?
