It would add to the sharpening already applied but you can control the amount of sharpening manually, so you can make adjustments as you please.

I edited a session and exported as 100% jpegs with the default sharpen for web selected in the adjustments tab. Everything looked great for the online proofing process. Client decides what images to print so I go back into capture one and can't seem to find my edited raws to reprocess for print. I have the jpegs I used for proofing and original raw files. I really don't want to edit each image again if I don't have to. Can I load the jpegs as a session and just export again with the sharpen for print option selected in the adjustments tab? Or will it over sharpen by adding to the sharpening already performed for web?
    Thanks in advance,

Can we help you find your raws? Session or catalog?

Pretty sure its my mistake and there is nothing to find. I never saved anything other than what was exported (jpegs). I really appreciate the help.

So sharpening the existing jpegs....should I sharpen in the capture one workspace and skip the export sharpening adjustment for print?

I might should add that my next step is get at least a better monitor, using a Lenovo t440p right now and I know the display is not quite up to par lol. So i been playing conservative on the sharpness as I am afraid the display will not represent accurately. I did order the prints of the proofs with the web sharpening and the color was spot on, sharpness looked good maybe a tad soft looking, but these were just 4x6's with unaided viewing.

But you shouldn't need to save anything! Where were the images when you started working on them?

I had imported them from an sd card to a file on the pc. I have the original raws. I actually used capture one to import the raw images from the card. Only thing I have located is the original "raws" and Jpegs that are in the output folder. I may need to look at file folders a little better, maybe I am not looking in the right places.

If this is indeed a session and not a catalog, then when you worked on the images using Capture One, the program will have created subfolders with all the adjustment information in them (without you having to do anything about it).

So for example, if your images are in a folder called Wedding, and you viewed and edited them using Capture One, it will have created a Subfolder like this

    Wedding>Capture One

and in turn that will have subfolders like

Wedding>Capture One>Cache (this one contains thumbnails and previews)

    and

Wedding>Capture One>Settings120 (this one contains .cos files with the information about edits stored in them and perhaps .comask files with information about layer masks).

If you look at the images in Capture One, it should show them with your edits.

Edited to add: your raw files will never be altered by Capture One - it is completely non-destructive, so it stores all the edit information separately from the raw files.

Thanks for all your help. I just loaded the session back into Capture One and it is showing the edits and everything. I think I may need to up the ram on this computer or something. Took awhile to load and I believe before I was ending the session before it loaded thinking it was the wrong file. Thanks again!
