Fixing animal red eye
Looking for hopefully a better way to correct some cat pics that have red eye. Note it is not really red eyes like people.
The way I did it was 2 layers. First layer masked the pupils and adjusted various sliders in the exposure section to get the pupils black leaving highlights alone. Easy enough. Second layer masked iris of both eyes and used advanced colour editor to get very close to proper iris colour based on the other photos. Turned out well and you can't tell it had red eye. However, my attempt took about 10 to 15 minutes mainly using colour editor and the various sliders to get the closest iris colour. Very convoluted.
What I wanted in capture one is an info panel that shows the RGB values that make up the colour of the iris from the other photos and input them into the shot I was correcting. Photoshop has this. Is it in capture one?
Does anyone have experience in correcting animal red eye in capture one that is faster and or easier and can help?
Thanks
