Importing a File Folder Hierarcy to Catalog

I have many collections of raw images from vacations organized as a high level folder and then a set of sub-folders - one for each day of the tour. For example, I have a folder TOTO (Treasures of the Orient) with sub-folders for each day of the tour, e.g. T1 Tokyo, T2 Kanazawa,T3 Hagi,etc. When I "import" these images to a Capture One catalog, I have the "Include Sub-Folders" option checked. Is it possible to organize the catalog images to reflect the file structure I started with? It is very useful to know the location of each of the images. It doesn't appear that the import process recognizes this organization beyond getting images from each sub-folder.

I am running on a Mac (iMac27 Retina) with Mojave.
