Color space question
Hi guys I have a question about what color space you guys work in? I'm fairly new to C1.
I edit in the Capture one default color space. I shoot a lot of landscape photography and I'm having some really bad issues when exporting to jpg sRGB format. If the picture has very smooth transitions between colors like a sunset when I export, the picture comes out really blotchy and pixelated and really looks horrible.
Any suggestions?

Hi Matthew,
Assuming you have imported raw files. C1 works with its internal colorspace (and I don't know which colorspace it is). You have to choose the right color profile in the "base characteristics" tool depending on your camera model and ideally set your proof profile (menu "View") to "selected recipe" so that you preview the colors in the viewer as you edit, selecting a process recipe like sRGB in the "output" tab (if that is your target color space e.g. if you develop for web).
Smooth transitions, in my experience, can suffer from sharpending, clarity and noise reduction settings, that's the reason why I work with these settings selectively i.e. with local adjustments (masks). Finetuned correctly C1 usually outputs relatively pleasing transitions, in my experience, even compared with other raw converters.
Cheers,
Beo0
