I am having the same issue. For me I also get spinning wheel when I click on a folder which has images. I noticed this in both sessions and catalog.

After updating to CO 20 I'm noticing a stutter when browsing images. For example, I'll be scrolling down a grid of images and it will hesitate very briefly and then jump to recover. I'll usually lose my orientation when this happens as a row might have unexpectedly jumped out of view and then I need to scroll back and see what was missed. This is really frustrating when I'm looking for a specific image from a shoot. The stutter seems to happen in both sessions and a catalog. I'm curious if anybody else encountered this or if it's specific to my environment for some reason.
    I have a MBP Retina 15-inch Mid 2015, 2.5GHX Quad-Core i7, 16GB RAM with AMD Radeon R9 M370X and Intel Iris Pro.

I have the same MBP, but I do not experience this. What is the view mode of your browser, grid, list, or filmstrip?

I have the browser set with a grid and no filmstrip.
As I've played with this I noticed that the stutter seems to be a thumbnails are populated.
I mostly use sessions, but I have noticed with behavior with both. I also tried on my local SSD, an external SSD and an external HD, all with the same result.
In the past it would seem like the grid would get populated with thumbnails and then they would persist as I scrolled up and down. Now if I scroll down and then back up I will notice thumbnails repopulating. The grid seems to be stuttering as data comes in and out. I have never encountered this with Capture One before, so I don't know if it's a change they implemented to save memory or maybe it's the underlying windowing system on the mac.

I’m having the same problem. Anybody find the cause or better yet a solution?

Same issue on my iMac 5K, it waits a bit, the scrolls, then it stops and then continues all by itself, automated. I guess it is a feature. :)
