Tools cannot be dragged and dropped

I have no issues with drag and drop tools within the same area or between areas. The ... way works, as well as with the mouse.

On the Lens tool tab I can easily move tools around. Note that on the default workspace, the Lens tool does not yet have any tool in the pinned area, only tools in the scrolled area. For the first tool to move from scrolled to pinned area, I used the ... menu.

The problem is unresolved. My original post describes the problem. Others don't seem to have the same problem. That's fine for them. But my problem remains unresolved and makes Capture One unusable. I would like to hear A SOLUTION, not a denial of what I describe, including the non-default and illogical arrangement of the tools when you move them to the pinned area. I cannot move any tool anywhere anyhow, and all tools appear twice in every tool tab!

Does the same thing happen if you create a new blank tool tab and add tools to it? (Just clutching at straws here, in case it helps.)

Also, on tabs where you have the tool twice, does right clicking one of the instances and choosing Remove tool remove one or both instances? And if you drag the tool off into the working area, does that remove one or both?

The trouble is, that this seems to be an unusual problem. People in the forum are just your fellow users of Capture One, we are not Capture One tech staff. If we can't come up with suggestions that help, you'll need to submit a support case.

On top of that, e.g. in the Lens tool tab, certain tools cannot be moved at all, with the current order of them being totally illogical (after I moved a number of them from the pinned to the scrollable area).

In the default workspace of CO20, all tools on the Lens tool tab are in the scrollable area. There are no tools in the pinned area.

I also encourage you to open a support case.

First of all, I'm using Capture One Express for Sony, version 20.

Second, I can not only not drag and drop or move any tool. I cannot create a new workspace nor right-click on a tool tab. All the tool tabs are "stuck" in their current position, moving them is impossible. Moving any tool in any way is impossible also.

How or where do I open a support case?

Ah. I suspect that the ability to customise tool tabs is not in the Express version.

    To confirm Ian3's post.

I hope that helps to explain things.

I'm not sure if this is updated for V20 (it's a link from a Google search) but for your specific workspace adjustment question I think this information is correct.

OK, well in all previous Express versions I could change the order of the tools tabs, and every single tool was only visible once. Now I have duplicates of almost all tools, and I can't get rid of them, move them, or reset everything to the default values. A big bummer. Express version and customisable or not, this is not how an interface should look nor behave... I am going to return to version 12, because this bug is apparently not taken seriously enough.

Duplicates of a lot of tools??

It rather sounds as if you somehow may have a merged pair of old and new type tool stacks. I don't think that would be intentional however I have no idea how the UI update has been addressed for the Express product.

I would suggest that you use the "Submit a Request" feature at the top right of one of the Support pages on the web site and get the Support Team to advise you.

In the meantime if someone else with knowledge of this problem appears and can offer advice that could be very helpful.

Does the duplication actually prevent you from using C1 or do you just find it inconvenient?
