2 computers and 1 catalog C1
Hi everybody.
I need Your advice. I want to have my workflow fastest as today possible with Phaseone iq180 files.
The stuff I have in two places:
1. Home: MacPro D500 16Gb ram and 256ssd and eizo coloredge cg277
2. Office: new MacBookPro with usb-c 16Gb ram, 2tb ssd and 4gb radeon.
I spend more time with my photos and C1 in office with my laptop which is calibrated with ColorMunki Photo.
Of course all the time I try to finish my job with macpro and eizo and now (with new usb c interface) is a little bit hard beceause of two things. Before buying the new macpro with usb c a had MacBook Pro with usb 3 and I had external ssd drive with usb 3 interface so i could use it with my Macpro and laptop. It works fine. External ssd drive was my main workflow drive. But now I have situation when my macpro does not have usb c interface which is much faster then usb3 or thundebolt 2 and in other way I want my workflow fastest as possible today. So tell me Please is it possible to maybe use this external ssd usb3drive with macpro and the same catalog in laptop usb c but with all advantages of usb c ??? Maybe I should use my internal ssd drive in laptop (2tb is enough for me) but then how to finish my work in macpro?? Thank You for all yours advices.

Have you noticed the difference (write/read)?
As I know, Apple is offering USB 3.1 Type-C on the new MacBook, which is still USB 3.1
Have you thought about powered adapter/hub?
