Same here with custom Tool tabs not scrolling; and yes, sometimes tools don't expand on click.

Are the tools in the Scrolling area of the tool stack?

If you are using a customized menu from a previous version they will be in the fixed area. Create a scrolling area by moving a tool to it.

You probably need to have more than One tool AND enough tools to make the scrolling area full enough to need to be scrolled.

The same goes for a newly created Customized tab.

Expanding, in the fixed area, will not happen if there is not enough enough space.

I suspect the old method (pre-scrolling area) of automatic contraction of open tools to allow a new tool expansion request has been dropped with the advent of the scrolling region. As I recall one of the complaints about that concept was that there was not control over which tools were auto selected for contraction. So I think that idea has been dropped and replaced by the scrolling area.

    HTH.

    Hi Grant,

I cannot find a way to "move" a tool to the scrolling area, or better, I cannot find a way to create a scrlling are.

But when klicking the three Button Menu of a tool, there is an option "move to the scrolling area". Maybe you have meant that.

Yes, that's how it works and if there was no scrollable area it is then created. Further tools can then also simply be dragged and dropped down into the scrollable area.

    Ergh...

That's embarrassing - I was right clicking the three dots, and not being presented with the "Move To Scrollable Area" option!
