my C1Pro 20 Pre-order license key doesn't work

    I'm not sure I'm talking about the same thing, but I couldn't use what I took to be the licence key from Capture One. It turns out that it was a "voucher" code - the licence key is something else.

    I was able to download and activate using the code sent via email, which then caused the actual licence key to be emailed to me.

    The email says "license code" and starts with "C1PRO20

    Where did you enter that value to get a license code?

    We already tackled this in the first C1 20 post, as you’re not the only one.

    Follow these instructions and you’ll be fine:

    Basically you log in to your account, order the upgrade as usual and when it’s time to checkout you enter the pre-order license as voucher code and your grand total will be 0 (if you’ve not included any style packs with the upgrade that is). Press the buy button and your license key for v20 will be sent out per e-mail immediately.

    Someone thought that was the best upgrade process? 😉

    For anyone upgrading, make sure you copy the new license code after completing the $0 purchase, as at least in my case no email ever arrived with that information.

    Are you sure it isn't in junk mail? Also if you log in to your account, you can see your license codes. (But I agree, I always take a screen shot to be sure, until I have the email.)

    As far as I know, a license key you bought only appears in your user profile after its first activation.

    Keys that were lost and never activated, will not appear and get orphaned unless a user contacts support.

    I followed the instruction and copied the pre-order "license key" into the Coupon Code field, then I clicked the "apply" button. Nothing happened! The red text above the box didn't turn to "You will not be charged this time".

    Has anyone had the same problem?

    I sent help requests to phase one but didn't get any help yet, only a confirmation that they received the request.

    Any help is appreciated!

    I've the same issue. The Fastspring support sends me only a link to my order for the pre-order. How I can transfer my coupon code in a license key and who is responsible to fix this issue.

    I had the same issue, followed the advice in this forum and did receive my actual license key after checking out for $0 charged. The whole process is a pain somewhere I don't photograph for lack of sunlight.

    New Capture One Pro user so my first post...purchase and activation fixed.

    Bought v12 perpetual license on Dec 2, activated and everything fine. When v20 released shortly after, I could not purchase for no charge nor activate. Would follow all instructions here and on FAQs, copy coupon code/license key into box, but could not upgrade, instead only received an error message that says, "The promotional code you entered does not exist" even though I qualified for a free upgrade.

    Wanted to let those of you as frustrated as I was that my problem has just been solved by Capture One support (ordersupport@captureone.zendesk.com). It took 2 days, but they did fix my license key and I was then able to update at no charge.

    Same here, I pre-ordered C1pro 20 for Sony and have yet figured out how to make it work. Im going to try Firefox rather than Safari next. I have contacted phase one but no reply yet.

    I'm in the same boat. I paid for the pre-order. Then I got the notice that C1 was here so I clicked the link. The link took me to the download page and I went to the Capture One Pro for Sony and when I clicked on it and put my key in it charged me $69.30. I contacted support and they told me to do it over so I tried it again and this time it did download for free but it would not install with the license key. Then I tried to open my Capture One 12 Pro for Sony and it would not open and I needed it to process a job for a client. So I just bought Capture One 20 for Sony again at $69.30. That worked fine. So now I'm in for $200.90 for a $62.90 upgrade and the two $69.30 purchases. All that would be fine except customer support stopped responding to my emails. Since I have CaptureOne20 fo Sony loaded and working all I want is a refund for the two $69.30 purchases. Can someone please help?

    I did hear back from C1 and they said they are having problems with the licensing and give me links that do the same thing in the original email. Followed all the instructions again with no luck. The email also suggested that I down load the free trial and they should have the problem resolved before the 30 days are up. The free trial works but how convoluted will that change be?

    I paid the pre order fee. Just got the coupon code to work but now it says I owe even more money? Fail. Why does this need to be so complicated? I would like it just to work. Any suggestions?

    Today my (working until yesterday) C1 20 license was revoked and I could not use the program anymore.
    Also my latest licenses were gone from my account, only v8 and v9 were showing up...
