What does the Tilde do when making a Keyword Library?

Hello -
I see some publically available Keyword Indexes out on the web. There's one in particular that I found to be very useful. It seems that every group and sub-group starts with a "~" Tilde. I don't know what it does.

    With regards to how Capture One will parse the ~ in your keyword list, the answer is not at all. > is used to delineate parent/child keyword relationships. You could likely do a simple Find/Replace on that list to change all instances of ~ to > to maintain the hierarchy when importing the list into Capture One.
