Edit with... [not available in smart albums] ?

Hi,

why is it that i cannot do an edit with.. from within a smart album? if the duplicate gets all meta data as the original it should show up in the smart album again. but maybe i am missing another important point here!?

    Honestly? No clue.

    It's a programming decision, but it definitely seems to be intentional since there is an error message indicating specifically that you can't do it.

    Sort of annoying, but the work around is an extra click to "Show in Library" and then "Edit as".

    That said, I don't know many users that use the "Edit With" option. Not that they don't exist, but C1 is set up in a way that expects you to do all of your RAW processing in a big batch instead of one-offs so the "Edit as" option doesn't get much traction.

    Everyone is different of course, but that seems to be the flow of all of the advertising/commercial photographers I work with (and that's my flow as well).

    All of my RAW processing gets done at once, everything gets processed/exported and from then on, unless I screwed up something (or the client comes back with a new request) I don't really go back in to the C1 session.

    Anyway - this is a user-to-user forum so if you really need that functionality, be sure to submit it to Phase as a feature request via their support ticket portal.
