Could it be that you have Embed color profile as your output profile in your process recipe?

No, all my process recipes are set to sRGB, Adobe RGB or Prophoto RGB.

No, all my process recipes are set to sRGB, Adobe RGB or Prophoto RGB.

Edit: I notice this histogram jump happens immediately after converting a Sony file to black and white in C1 too, if the image has had no layer added. If there is a previously added layer on the color image (which will have caused a jump) there is no added jump when converting to B&W.

C1 support was able to reproduce the problem after I sent them one of my Sony files.
Support says they have "added my case details to the bug report for R&D."
