C1 20 Pro Sony add Layer Histogram/RGBL Jump Bug?
Just submitted this bug report to Phase one.
It is mentioned in another thread but more in relation to exported embedded profiles.
Any other Sony uses seeing this problem? :
Hi, I'm using C1 Pro 20 Sony with Windows 10.
When I add any layer (empty/filled/clone/heal) to a Sony ARW file the histogram jumps to the right and the RGBL values under the cursor increase about 15 units, ie 150,150,150,150 becomes 165,165,165,165 (for a mid grey area).
This happens without any adjustment being made by me to the added layer and only happens with Sony ARW files. The values will decrease and increase 15 units as I turn the layer off or on. There is no change to the levels or curves graphs and there is no visible change to the image.
The change in cursor values and the histogram jump are the same as when I turn on AdobeRGB process recipe proofing. It looks to me that adding a layer to a Sony RAW file is causing the RGBL values and histogram to display AdobeRGB color profile values.
This is supported by the fact that there is no jump in values if I add a layer with AdobeRGB profile recipe proofing already turned on. That is, I start with no layers and a RGBL values of 150, turn on AdobeRGB recipe proofing and values jump to 165, add a layer and there is no further increase in values, turn off recipe proofing and values stay at 165, delete or turn off layer and values drop to original 150.
I also have C1 11 Pro and this does not happen with any files there.

Could it be that you have Embed color profile as your output profile in your process recipe? 0 -

No, all my process recipes are set to sRGB, Adobe RGB or Prophoto RGB.

Edit: I notice this histogram jump happens immediately after converting a Sony file to black and white in C1 too, if the image has had no layer added. If there is a previously added layer on the color image (which will have caused a jump) there is no added jump when converting to B&W.

C1 support was able to reproduce the problem after I sent them one of my Sony files.
Support says they have "added my case details to the bug report for R&D."0
