New to Capture One from LR - Catalog Question
For various reasons I let my LR cc subscription run out with plans to move to other software, knowing I would still have access to the Library mode. Before I could make the switch my computer had a little freak out. I no longer have access to LR cc on my computer at even the most basic level.
I'm fine without LR, have a standalone version of PS, and like what I see so far using Capture One (Windows 10) - especially since I'm shooting with a Fuji X.
Since I don't have access to LR cc, I've just started from scratch with a new catalog in C1. If possible, I'd like to keep my folder structure from LR to use with C1. Is this something I can do without having LR cc on my computer? I could probably download a 14 day trial of LR cc, but I'd rather not have it on my system.
Using FIle Explorer, I see that I still have some LR catalog folders on my system, including Lightroom Catalog.Ircat, Lightroom Catalog Previews.Irdata
Can I somehow use any of this to put the photos that are currently in my C1 catalog into something organized with Albums based on the LR catalog/collections? If so, how? Would I have to delete this just created C1 catalog and start all over using these LR folders? Am I stuck (or just better off) creating an organizational structure from scratch using only C1? It would give me an opportunity to cull more unwanted photos...
As you can probably tell, I'm not a real big computer guy. It's a tool, not something I try to get into the real nitty gritty, under the hood stuff. I'm pretty good at following directions though?
Thanks for any help, advice the community can give me. I'm looking forward to diving deeper into C!.

C1 can import LR catalogs, and I don't think that LR itself must be installed. Just give it a try! C1 can import quite a bit from the LR catalog, but not all; most adjustments and such are not transferable. There are quite a few articles on importing a LR catalog into C1; google is your friend (or DuckDuckGo if you prefer privacy).
An alternative is to create a new C1 catalog and import your images 'in place', i.e., leaving them where they are on the disk â€" rather than moving them into a new place. C1 one will then show the folder structure as it is. This doesn't recreate any 'user albums' or collections you may have made in LR, nor import any metadata (unless you have xmp files next to the images).
I'd say to give the import of LR catalog a try first.
Cheers,
