Print centered with even borders
There is something that drives me crazy with COP. COP running on a Mac, OS 10.12.2. I try to print an image dead center in A4 on a canon pixma pro-100s. But whatever I do, can't get the image exactly centered on the page. If I use the "Full Page" template the margins can't be adjusted just to the right numbers. If I am using borderless printing and then add a border in preview everything looks fine but the end result is 1-2 mm off. Anyway why is there not a template for printing centered, must be a often used use-case.
Thankful for any help or hint!

Things I noticed when printing:
+ Measure the paper size. It's not always accurate. And it's not always the labeled size. For example: I've had 10x15cm paper that was 4x6" as well as the other way around. And I've had 13x19" papers from 32.8x48cm to 33.1x48.4cm.
+ Check the settings for borderless printing. There is a setting for how much the print shall be larger than the paper, to avoid thin white paper edges. It may put the image out of center if not '0'. Have a look at fitting and scaling settings, too.
+ Test the borderless print area of your printer and driver. Check position and size!
+ CO is currently tricky when moving a cell on the page, at least on Mac. PO support knows about it. Best way seems to be cell priority, max out the cell manually, and then reduce cell size to what's needed. Lowering a margin correctly moves the cell. But watch out, increasing a margin shrinks the cell!
+ If necessary, define a user sized paper. Even for standard paper sizes.
I create my own templates, but I asked PO for a 'center' button in the print dialog. Just for the ease of use.

Stephan,
For what it is worth I have never managed to get my Canon printer to print with completely centred results, on any size of paper, except by chance.
If you are attempting to print borderless you will be at the mercy of how the driver attempts to "correct" the settings to ensure that the edge to edge coverage is complete.
A margin for adjustment needs to be provided. If you have an image that has no margin for adjustment you will likely be out of luck.
I don't think this perceived problem is restricted to Canon printers.
If you move to the high volume reproduction models of some of the Professional printing software you may find that there are ways to get around the problems --- at a cost.
HTH.
