Tethering Issue
Hi.
I have a canon EOS 1200D and I have just downloaded capture ONE 20 to my Mac and the software isn't finding/seeing my camera? I have checked to see if the canon button is ticked under preferences which it is. Does anyone know how to sort this?
Kind regards
J

Seeing it for what purpose?
Tethering?
Or downloading files?
I don't think C1 will recognise a Canon camera as a USB Mass storage device. I would recommend removing the card and using a card reader. Or connect to the camera via the Mac and download to the Mac first.

Hey Grant,
Basically the camera is connected to a microscope and I use the software to simply view what the camera is seeing. It allows me to look at the microscope (blood) on a larger screen.
Any idea what software might work?

You should be able to use the Canon 1200D for both tethering and live view, according to this site:

Does the Mac see the camera (with a memory card inserted) as a Mass Storage device? (i.e. is the USB connection using the same cables actually connecting?)
Are you tethering with a memory card in the camera?
If so try without the card inserted.
If none of that suggests anything new we will need to come up with a different approach.
I'm afraid I don't have a 1200D to plug in and experiment with. Someone else might have one.
