You can change levels value and then set as default for your camera.
And it will applied for every shot made but that camera.

If you are printing I would imagine that you would probably have controls in the printer driver software to adjust values that could then be saved as a dedicated printer "device", complete with preset preferences, for the printer and paper combination along with the ICC profile. However I guess that depends on the printer manufacturer providing the functionality.

If printing via a file (provided to a 3rd party perhaps) a different approach might be desired.

One possible approach would be to create presets for "standard" adjustments for the BPCs required and then apply them just before printing or processing to output. Or, indeed, create a variant for them, though absent the ability to label variants other than keywords that may not be ideal.

However I guess that then compromises the ability to use that tool separately for other editing purposes.

That said if you can use the Curve tool you could create an adjustment in a sample image (kept for use everywhere) in a layer and in V9 you could apply the adjustment as a layer by copying from your "master" image to any other image. Or images of course if you are about to print a batch.

Of course that assumes, inter alia, that the same BP adjustment will work equally well for all of the images.

I'm not sure of your entire printing process, but I've been using Qimage (http://www.ddisoftware.com/qimage-u/index.html) as my default printing software for years. I simply process and convert a RAW file in Capture One to TIFF and then use Qimage for final sizing, sharpening etc prior to printing. I've found it the easiest and most consistent way to print.

    Thanks Chaps

Ray: a good solution at the price, but PC only...

Grant: Excellent thinking, to use a dummy layer to get round C1P only allowing one adjustment brick per adjustment (unlike Aperture). And yes, nameable versions would be a great improvement.

The assumption that one BP adjustment will work equally well for all images seems to be made by far better printers than me, although only for a given paper. So in a given session where things will probably be printed on a single paper, fine.
